Anyway, random stuff I've been doing lately:
I've been playing with Rebelle lately and I'm very split about it. At its core it's an amazing canvas simulation, unique in the industry. Watercolors in Rebelle are nothing like watercolors in Photoshop or Painter or anything else. They're actually simulating the way paint interacts with water and the canvas. You place a drop of paint on the canvas, and based on how much water there is in that paint, or on the canvas itself, paint will spread, like real watercolors. And you can dry or wet the canvas, blow, tilt the canvas.. so paint drips. It's a bit tricky to use, unless you're used to working with real watercolors. But it's much more controllable than the real thing anyway. Rebelle is also fairly simple at the moment, it misses a lot of features you'd expect in a graphical app, especially on the editing side. But tbh, lots of apps miss these features. Like selections, tr/rot/scale cut/copy/paste, mirroring, symmetry, so on. What's already there though is nothing short of friggin' amazing. If only I was better at painting.. : / Anyway, random stuff I've been doing lately: And a tree that pains me greatly.. cuz I don't remember the brushes I used. I wanna explore more of this stuff. It was a bit like drawing with paint.. which is my main interest. I understand drawing, not so much painting. And I'm also all about sketching things fast.. :D [This one is not Rebelle].
