I'll start with the beginning. The cover!!! Do click on the images btw :)
Sooo... I went on a trip to Greece last year.. On my way back I bought a sketchbook and being inspired by Greek (more or less...) antiquity, I started a saga of Greek puppetzoids, as I like to call them (inspired by the romanian word papitoi... I guess... which means... something like... puppetzoids...) - almost like stick figures, but with a little bit of detail here and there. I've been drawing these puppetzoids for a while now, but I don't think I've ever posted any of these drawings on the web until now. Because they are almost always drawn on paper, which I never scan in, so they usually are... left on paper. But since now I've scanned one of my sketchbooks :D I thought, why not post a bunch of these silly drawings here. Some are a bit naughty... so... since a polite animation website like mine is trying to stay polite, I'll try to keep naughtiness to a minimum :D I'll start with the beginning. The cover!!! Do click on the images btw :) And here we go, puppetzoids away! First set of drawings. Gets you acquainted to my characters... basically, as you'll figure out if you look at a few of these, I'm revolving around a few ideas. First idea - it's a known fact that ancient greeks were gay, or at least, some of them. Maybe a lot of them, cuz otherwise it wouldn't have been such a big deal. So gayness is one theme here (although I've removed most of the offensive material about anal stuff and so on... :D ). Second, spartans were jar-heads, so therefore they were completely stupid, you could sell them a pencil and tell them it's good to eat. Third, I've been to Thessaloniki, which seems to be a small city in desperate need to be recognized as a major city (people were dressing fancier than in Athens), or anyway, that's just in my story... so whenever characters are talking about Thessaloniki, nobody has heard of it :) Enough analysis for now...
