A new, much improved auto-camera, adjusts when near large walls. Can be turned off if you're bothered by the steeper angles or extra movement, but it really helps with visibility in tight spaces.
Things require Glow payment again. Only the Exit is free of charge. This makes Glow collection crucial, not just a way of upgrading your Avatar.
In fact each main currency serves multiple purposes. Glow [Blue] Collection is used for Leveling. Glow payments are for creating Boost Assistants, using your Powers, and paying for services like Making Avatars, Changing Powers, even getting Life from Raven. Pulp [Yellow] is used for finding Pulp and Secret Planets [challenge and reward planets], unlocking New Pulp Worlds, and also as Alternate Currency for Avatar Crafting. Explore [Green] is used for finding New Planets, adding to Progression and Difficulty but also Score and Achievements, and now also adds Life for every new found planet.
Color coded exits anticipate your next location, where you will arrive upon teleportation. Color coded delivery rewards added too.
Colored dialogues for special 'voices', like Space Raven and Space Goose!
Did I mention we have a wild Space Goose chase? And a Space-Duck-like Mirage chase..
You can also chase the new Booster Assistant Mimics flying around. But avoid the pesky Plasma Mimics that won't let you totally chill.. even on peaceful planets. Keep moving! And speaking of mimics, a bit of a spoiler.. your avatar is a Mimic, a creature that mimics real life on these planets. But your assistants and plasma baddies that chase you are mimicking you. So they are Mimics at a different level.. A lot of mimicking going around.
And a big visible Score meter has been added, instead of the tiny numbers in the UI, which are now gone, yay. All UI elements can be hidden, as a challenge. You can play the game minimally, with just the score meter visible. No more life bar, just a vignette darkens to tell you you're taking damage. And no more compass.. if you want to find exits on your own.
Plus a lot of game re-balancing and lots of debugging and polish.
Giants and Lasers next..
