And the rest of the body I kind of borrowed from Poser, made some small adjustments... The hands are Cousteau's hands, but with adjustments. I'm not a modeler so I try to use parts as much as possible... Recycle, Recycle, Recycle, hehe... and I always try to improve on the older geometry (in 20, 30 years, I'll have the bestest of the bestest hands possible, they'll be at their 345543th generation, refined beyond all reason, and polished into eternity... ammmm, something like that.)
Wolfy is my new character that I started working on a few weeks ago. He was innitialy supposed to be rigged and animated inside Maya with a stretchy rig, but I had to abandon that project, the rig just didn't turn out quite well (actually, I only have problems with the spine and neck), and yet again, I'm using Motion Builder for its fantastic rig. No stretchiness... but fantastic anyway, probably the best rig there is and can be built for a humanoid at the moment. The facial setup will of course be done in Maya and I'm using Michael Comet's PSD for the body custom deformations. I also want to add some shape control in Maya, to layer on top of the Motion Builder body animation.
Here it is. I started with some loose drawings... after a while of trying out various designs, shapes...
I built a simple 3D model...
Built the hair too, but I don't have a decent render yet, I need to render the hair separately, using 2 separate sets of lights, and then composite it all together. Just for the sake of seeing the character slightly cuter, even if unfinished... I draw some hair. I also had some cool eyes lying around and I've thrown them into the mix (btw, this is a low poly head, the one above was smoothed for rendering).
