Very Huge or very small!! [And I've got no more rhymes at all. Because all would end in ALL...] M'yeah, that's all I got.. OK, one more quick drawing! Happy Holidays, lots o' snow, and a Happy New Year!! Bought a Cintiq 13HD. A bit tiny a bit laggy.. after all the tweaking the cursor still falls behind 1 cm or so at average-to-high speeds. Not noticeable at low speeds though and I'm getting used to it anyway, it's not a huge deal.. although comparing it to pen and paper where there is zero lag haha... Much better than my old Bosto anyway. Good viewing angles, although not ideal.. you get subtle tone changes as you look from various angles. Software support great of course, it's Wacom, it's plug n play basically and all software devs test their stuff on Wacoms [not so much on Huions and their rebranded offsprings, Bosto, Yinova, Ugee]. I was thinking of getting the 22HD or maybe a Ugee 22HD. But they're large beasts, heavy and complicated to handle. I wish Wacom made a light and large-ish... 17-20 inch device. Portable ideally.. but until they can produce battery life of significantly more than just 2 hours portability is not very useful. And you also pay your life's savings for one of those :P So maybe in 10 years or so [?]... a large enough to do professional work, light, portable and affordable drawing device.. is my wet dream. Until then... hmmm.... dunno... I guess I'm keeping this beast.
I've been experimenting with markers lately, after watching a bunch of Scott Robertson videos. So I bought watercolor markers and they're awesome. Basically, easy to use watercolor, no mess, no setup. So much faster to sketch with markers and rollers, compared to computer stuff where you waste time sweating over details and the details still look meh. : > I can't believe I never tried this before, these markers are perfect for coloring sketches. I'll post some drawings after I scan them in. Until then, just a goat drawn in Krita with the new Cintiq. Peace yo! |
